It hasnt been the best winter ever for me here in the cape, there has been 2 days at dungeouns so far and a couple at sunsets. Due to a few unforseen circumstanes i didnt make the most of the one paddle day that we had at dungeouns but you can win em all I guess.
Now moving into October the chances of another big day gets less and less, and looks like the guys at mavericks are gonna get there first swell soon. Which means its almost time to leave this heaven on earth wich is Cape Town in the summer time and head across to the northern hemisphere.
The last 3 years i have been going to the states i have focused all my attention to surfing maverks, but this year i think its time for a change so im gonna spend the winter in Hawaii. Then if i can see a big swell heading towards Cali i can hopefully hope on a flight. The reason for the change is that you get more time in the water in Hawaii. Sanfran is an amazing place and i have some really good friends there but due to the weather you cant surf everyday, i mean you can but its not always pleasant;-) mb im just getting lazy but im looking forward to the warm waters of hawaii.
This last week i have started training for the up comming winter, just with abit of running and lifesaving training. im going to try put a little program together and see how that works out if i become insanly fit somehow i will let you all know.
